Die European Masters Association (EMA) haben die Masters-Athlet:Innen des Jahres 2024 gewählt. Unser Salzburger Heimo Viertbauer konnte mit einem großartigem Jahr aufzeigen und krönte sein erfolgreiches Jahr 2024 mit dem Titel zum Europäischen Masters "Werfer des Jahres". Drei internationale Goldmedaillen und ein Weltrekord im Hammerwurf der M80-Klasse waren seine Highlights im heurigen Jahr.

Heimo Viertbauer: the power of the hammer
Heimo Viertbauer, athlete of the M80 category,
he demonstrated great versatility in throwing specialties, winning medals and setting world-class records. European Indoor Masters Championships (EMACI) in Torun:
🥇 Gold in the hammer throw
🥇 Gold in shot put
World Masters Indoor Championships (WMACS) in Gothenburg:
🥇 Gold in the hammer throw
🥉 Bronze in the throwing pentathlon
Heimo also set the M80 world record in the hammer throw with a measurement of 50.96 metres, an achievement which highlights his extraordinary strength and technique.

Two champions, an example of excellence
Vanda Srbová Marušová and Heimo Viertbauer represent among the best master throwing athletes,
combining dedication, passion and excellent results. Their performances are a model example for master athletes and beyond.
